1970 D Reverse ?

    Ok I've never seen this on a coin, the O in ONE on reverse is clearly not right and can't for the life of me figure out what could cause this damage Post mint! The NE as well as the right ( pic left ) column of memorial! someone out there had have to of seen this before please let me know.     I'm thinking it might be from coin rolling machine.

    @Brian Nguyen guess it's possible but this is not typical of coin rolling machine damage as far as if seen.

    There is an infinitesimal number of things that could cause that kind of damage after it has left the mint, some of them accidental and some of them intentional. If you try to imagine every way that could have happened, your head would explode.
    The fact is, it could never have come out of the dies in that condition.

    Thanks and I was sure this was not mint damage but always up for a challenge to try and figure it out! So hold my beer and watch this &$#@ I always say!!!!

    The closer I look at it I'm going with @Brian Nguyen thoughts of coin roll damage as I can see the metal being pulled up on the O on better pics!!
