1) make the dime the new smallest denomination.
2) Reagan or keep FDR.
3) “no people” is one of two things - too Middle Easterny or two reflexively retro. REAL PEOPLE DON’T CARE FOR RETRO.
4) Create a $2 and $5 coin, put Jefferson on the $2, Lincoln on the $5, eliminate the $1, $2, and $5 notes and call it square.

I've mentioned that before. Probably have to wait not only for the "Greatest generation" to die off, but probably the Baby Boomers as well that grew up with their Greatest Generation parents constantly telling them about how great FDR was.

I think the Liberty head quarter eagle comes closest at 68 years.

 

We should bring back the mercury dime reverse and put that on the modern dime or even do a full blown modern mercury dime.

 

It would look ugly. The modern presses can't handle it.

 

But they can handle all the detailing on the ATB quarters. We"re americans. We been to the moon. Stop with the nonsense

 

We should be able to but look at the results the mint has had trying to use old designs on new coins.

 

They did that last year. In gold. It looked pretty cool, but then I compared it to the rest of the stuff we have, and it made me sad.
