The top one is starting to tone and shows a few minor problems. The bottom one looks a bit cleaner. Both have nice features and either would be a nice addition. I would choose the bottom but I'd also take the top for the coloring.

    As above ^^
But I'd keep the first one as the DDD is pretty kewl on Liberty and the Date.

All in all, I have to say B. I wish its obverse fields were as nice as A's. The devices are nicer on B, so that's where I have to go.

I like these coins. I have a question. Does what appear to be bag marks(?) on the obverse of the top coin detract from its desirability or value at all?

Props for phrasing the question two ways...

Which 1963D Lincoln cent is visibly in better condition ?

...which of the two coins here are in worst shape...

The lighting is different in the two sets of photos, so it's pretty hard to tell, but I'd say, "Keep them both."

Bag marks. A little to late for those. Being in circulation for 50 + years is my guess

Well PCGS has the same coin listed as a MS 67 RD and it sold for $2,820 on 09/13 so I dont believe that it would affect the desirability or value in anyway .... Infact according to the professional grading company it indicates that any 1963D thats graded MS67 or higher is very desirable because they're extremely scarce and rare and only (1) in that grade is known to exsist . :bookworm:

Neither of these is anywhere close to being MS67.

Well apparently that isn't what PCGS the professional coin grading company or the masses think . So please don't shoot the messenger because It's actually where photo A came from and it's actually listed on there ;)

There is no way on earth either of the above coins are MS67. All you’ve RE-proven here is that PCGS is out of their minds.

Well unfortunately that's an argument that you would have to make with the coin grading experts and not me because like I said earlier I'm just the messenger ... LOL

Unfortunately I can't agree with you on that because Heritage auction is actually the company that sold the coin for that amount and so we should give them their due credit .

The other really amazing thing about coin B is that not only does it have a really high grade ... I believe that it could also possibly be the first reported 1963D doubled die Lincoln cent in a very high grade
