Burger-like..... That is so funny I am truly laughing out loud. And sadly is so true. Thankfully I have not been forced to consume one of those since my younger and more wreckless days.

 

So can you redeem it for a burger or what is it good for?

ugh. I went and got a big mac today. One for me and one for the wife for dinner. Had a horrible day at work so figured it couldn't get any worse with a big mac. My McDs only had 1 style of coin. Got 2 of the same.

 

I got 2 styles. I went to one McDonald's and they told they never heard of the coins

 

I got the one for 00's or whatever. With the twitter and facebook crap. I like the 80s pop art design but alas it wasn't meant to be I guess.

 

I got the 68-78 and the 78-88 one

 

Since I started this thread I went and got a Big Mac. I was rewarded with the 78-88 one.

 

I see they are selling on ebay for 10-15 bucks a piece. Wonder how long until the hype dies down.

 

It's a sales promotion or gimmick, your choice. You buy a Big Mac at full price and you get the burger, clogged arteries and a McCoin. You use the McCoin at a later date for a free Big Mac. McDonalds is backing this as the first coin backed by food. Buy one get one free at a later date. It gets you back in the store.

 

Plus you buy Fries and a drink to go with your Free Big Mac they make more $$

 

Can you really redeem them for a BigMac? For how long?

 

And then this happened...

 

Soooo.... Lemme get this straight. I can go visit Ronald McDonald. I can spend my fifteen or so bucks for five Big Macs. Get my five McCoins and then auction them for $75.00 bucks? Oh wait.... Free shipping.... Didn't catch that.
