I have a Photo in my phone gallery. Unable to figure out how to retrieve and post here with comment. Any advice Spark?
I'll try...first, though...Welcome to CoinTalk, all of us here want to help you and help you learn. In the past, I was able to send a copy of the picture from my phone to myself, to my email account that you could access via iPad, tablet or desktop computer. From there, you would access your email, copy the photo to the hard drive and be able to use it after that by importing it to a web app. like CoinTalk, or sending to other email recipients. Hope this helps. Your phone should allow something similar...looking forward to seeing your DDR. Don't hesitate to ask questions, cuz if one guy here doesn't know the answer another one with more brainpower does!...Spark
Figured something out Spark.....I made it this way just too keep a detailed file on my phone. I could upload better pics in that future of actual coin. These were close-ups from microscope I purchased to see fine details while searching for error coins.
Appreciate all of your help. Will try not to forget my manners. I will master this Coin Talk and be a better memberAloha from Hawaii
So far, so good. The doubling I see may be what is called "mechanical" or "machine" doubling, MD. What you want to do is go to John Wexler's website, doubleddie.com. There are several sections there with info on "worthless" doubling, and "how dies are made". It is a treasuretrove site, and I use it to compare bonafide, authentic doubled die varieties with what I think I have in my hand. 999 times out of a thousand what you have does not match what is listed. But this is what you should do with your DDR, that and get some good lighting for your scope work. I have found that scopes will make reflections seem like "something", so then I use my loupe to confirm. Let me know how this goes, you look like you are good to go on posting pix...Spark
Cheech...a thousand pardons...I got so busy helping Earl I forgot to congratulate you on your '72 DDOs. Good find!...Spark
When you are ready to start a new thread, go to "Home", "Forums", decide which forum is best suited for your coin/subject and select it. You will see a blue bar in the upper right corner that says "Start a new thread". Give it a title, ask a question, upload photos and "Bob's your Uncle!". As a minimum, always post cropped full size images of both the obverse and reverse, with a close up of the area on the coin you are asking the question about. If it is about the edge, show the edge. If it is concerning a die rotation, take a picture of the coin in a mirror so that the orientation of both sides is displayed...and good luck hunting! And that, as they say, says it all...look forward to seeing more posts...Spark
