I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit that I've already bought another one. (@dougsmit, this is the one from the recent FSR sale that you were mildly interested in.)
I already had an unhealthy obsession with the coins of Probvs. Now you guys had to go and bump this thread. Great coins and very interesting topic @dougsmit
I find myself browsing more and more Probus coins mainly because the EQVITI series pulled me in (still working on that one). Now threads like this exposing me to more unique varieties pulls me in more. I found this one from Sondermann Numismatics. It was listed as Antioch but I believe it’s 4th oriental mint. Sellers pics first because mine are horrible.
I've been keeping a casual eye out for a space filler Saturninus since Doug's post, and now have one fresh from the courier Vendor's photo: IMP C M AVR PROBVS P F AVG; radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / CLEMENTIA TEMP; emperor standing right, holding scepter, receiving Victory on globe from Jupiter standing left, holding scepter, B dot between; XXI in exergue. 280 AD. 4th Oriental Workshop. Vendor's measurements - 20mm., 4.08g Always very rewarding to be able to pin an object to a particular episode in time.
