I had some Morgan's before, didn't think I'd want to get any but I spent some time checking them out. I don't have an agenda or any certain year, I'll just look till one cry out to me
Yeah, I get it... Truth is, I did pay over the price guide by about 15-20%. However, the price guide is $85 for an 1892 in MS63, and I paid $100, so my premium of another $15 is essentially my lunch money. At MS64 this sits at $160 in the NGC Coin Explorer price charts. After looking at examples of MS64's on Heritage, this seems comparable, even with the big scratch at 1:00 on the reverse. The other 64's have flaws too. Other MS63's - they just look awful. Here's an image of the same coin from the NGC Certificate Verification site. I'd never buy that.
I have a 1901 IHC coming from another member (who has a post between yours and this one). While I don’t think I can improve on his photos, I will try to get you some movin’. Stay tuned!
Sorry, I was trying to make a joke because that penny was so beautiful. Love the coloring. Yes, I would imagine you would have paid over price guide due to the magnificent toning. No offense intended.
Go look at eBay. There are plenty of totally underwater sellers who will probably have theirs buried with them.
Day 1 I didn't get in line in time. Day 2 I made $2400 on one coin. Day 3 I made $1100 on my one coin (no more 1st day issue holders, so price dropped. Day 4 I started to get in line again and they cancelled the sale. I was glad. I was exhausted. Sad thing was I had an amazing room at the Westin that I wasn't using except to shower and nap. Haha!
I think it’s the 2018-S silver eagle proof. Mint has already said it’s unlimited mintage and unlimited orders. Somebody correct me if I’m wrong.
