From everything I hear dd should not really be possible with the single squeeze but I know there have been very modern dd's found even in the 2018 d cents. This strike is very interesting, lots of texture in the fields, but in looking at the lettering on obv. and rev. I'm seeing two and even three offsets. I would appreciate any comments and opinions as to what this can be classified as. there are the typical chips on the eyebrow and below the flame on the torch as tons others I have in the 2017 p's but nothing like this on the lettering. thanks so much to all commentators - obv. 'IGWT' was hard to get clear shots as the light was doing weird things with this texture in the fields, anyway - photos below
What you have here is an excessively worn out die still striking coins. No error on the die, other than overuse. When this SAME DIE was fresh, it was creating semi-PL coins.
As mentioned above, it's from a worn or overused die, but also looks like it has some mechanical doubling, which is not a doubled die.
