No, no it doesn't. a 59 year old cent has gone through so many hands and environments that its bound to be damaged in a number of ways. Not an error, just Post Mint Damage. It is also helpful if you post a picture of your coin.
Go to Wexler's web site, doubleddie.com, and select "How dies are made". This will teach you that the damage you see in the coins you find could not have been created before it left the Mint. Doing this one thing will advance you lightyears ahead in this hobby. Best Regards, Spark
