searched another box of halves this week, no luck again this makes three boxes in a row that had nothing. I'm giving it a rest for a while. I'll try again in a few months.

Wait until January, when the kiddies spend their Christmas presents they should not for candy or something.

Searched $650 of halves. Almost total skunk. And it was a silver skunk.

Found a 1976-S AU Clad Proof, and two low mintage 1987-P BU and 2005-D BU.

    Better then nothing.

My bank called me yesterday, said that a customer had just brought in $290 in halves and did I want them? As soon as I saw them, I knew that the rolls had been searched; machine-wrapped, opened, re-filled and tape over the end. I went through them anyway, found a few keepers to fill holes, but no silver, which I already knew. I've got $500 due in on Monday or Tuesday, I'll post results.

OK. You got a girlfriend that helps you go through nickels?????

Keep your location very, very, very, very confidential because I think all of us guys are looking for such a "companion".

I dunno. Maybe on second thought, if my wife had the "addiction" then me and the family would be on the streets in a make-shift shelter made out of 2x2's..... :)

    for the new year...

For the new year I plan on MAYBE searching through my 80 ounce pickle jars (empty). I have 5; 2 filled with nickels, 1 with dimes and 2 with quarters. They are just basic pocket change that I've been throwing in over the years. I skimmed through one of the nickel jars found a handful from the 40's and 50's. didn't think of remembering the dates so I just put them back in. Next time I visit my parents in the back woods of wisconsin I should visit the small banks in town. Really not in a great spot for any good finds being in Chicago. Most of the change here comes straight from the mint downtown. I do know of a bank here that has 0.50 rolls. just to lazy to take the drive :)

The Pulp mill was south of town on a river and at that time owned by P&G, i was a consultant from the Seattle area working in the lime kiln/liquor room section with a Mr Anderson. We then were put on a major project to expand the mill, later it was tabled, then i heard wey co obtaineded the mill. Time freme was 1988 to 1992 Jack
