    Hello-

I'm curious about the coin that I found in a set that I've acquired a few years back. It was in an air sealed plastic case and was arranged by date in the set. After taking a few looks, I noticed the doubling I the date and mint. I used to dabble in numismatics, but I've lost my jewel and relying on phone pics for now. My eyes aren't what they used to be so I'm hoping for somewhat of a clue from you all. I know pics ever do justice, but any info would help.

I used to be able to tell if it's been polished, and may be, it I can't really tell. In the event it was; an I better off not grading it? I was just going to post on ebay. Thanks!

It looks reprocessed to me, which is when the zinc coating is removed and is replated with chrome or zinc. Almost all reprocessed cents look doubled. Welcome to CoinTalk!

You can tell by looking at the edge. Since the blanks were punched from zinc coated steel sheets, if it is original the core will appear different ( steel) than the edge of the surface( zinc). If all same, it is reprocessed. Jim
