I'll go out on a limb here and guess that you've heard something about a very valuable 82 small date? Assuming this the case the coin in question would be an 1982-D small date "COPPER" of which only a single example is presently known (iirc). The chances of locating one is likely in the same ballpark as getting hit with a moon rock, but there's no harm in looking as long as you've realistic expectations. Welcome to the forum. Edited to add: Also, may I ask if you understand why a coin could/should be considered a candidate for grading (submitting)? I ask simply because most new folks do not and/or assume it's necessary.
They are worth 1 cent each. They made 17 billion cents that year and very few carry a premium. 1982-S proof 1982 small date Philly copper 1982 Philly small date zinc in MINT STATE CONDITION. And 1 single 1982-D small date copper.
