I am an old guy that collects 19th century coins. Have no interest at all in errors/varieties. As worn out as my eyes are, I wouldn't stand a chance of seeing them anyway. The extent of my looking is checking the reverse for wheat cents. Otherwise, all my change is unsearched. Each day I put all my pocket change into a stacker. When the stack is full, I roll them and put them aside. Every other year or so I carry fifty pounds of rolled change to the bank. The bulk of that being cents. When that time comes, would you roll searchers prefer that I put them in the "for sale" section? I wouldn't want anything other than face value for them. The same thing the bank would give me.
Well.... I wouldn't worry too much about that. Just let my shipping clerk at the office pack it and put it with my company's UPS stuff. Probably would be an overall headache though.
Well again, it's very nice of you. Personally, about all I have time for is wheats myself. When I first started, I did some variety searching; very time consuming! I found a few things, though. Boxes of cents were easy to come by in my area, but folks who can't find a good bank might take you up on your offer.
Your situation is just about the same thing I usually look for on Craigslist and local want/sell advertisements. I look for individuals that have "pocket change" they have collected and are looking to get rid of. If you listed it here, you would have at least one individual interested.
