What are the thoughts on the mints newest release (as of today)? The 50th anniversary of the San Francisco Mint and first reverse silver proof set. Limit 200,000 https://catalog.usmint.gov/san-fran...e&cm_mmca1=Drop&cm_mmca2=Active&cm_mmca3=18XC
I get two new lenses for FREE !! I'd have to see them in-hand to really know. I got the regular silver proof set too to compare them to.
I bought one from the mint but obviously have not seen the coins yet. I am guessing they will be fine. I buy the "regular" silver proof set every year, so I felt like I might as well get this one, too. 200,000 is a lot of sets. But I think they sell about 400,000 of the "regular" silver proof sets every year, so they might eventually sell these out.
6 PM eastern and they are still available, no I didn't order any. I'm waiting for the cent to show up on eBay.
I just had my order confirmed around 6:30 EST. Definitely not a flash sellout. It appears they'll be available for a while.
Reverse proof, like fine scotch and bourbon, is an acquired taste. That said, let's hope that the sets we receive are of good quality.........
