When I take pics of my "clean" slabs I see slight corrosion in them. Makes me just want to use my cellphone so I don't see it. Now you can look at all the ATB quarters and see all the errors in tree branches and stuff !!
No, not THAT so much, but I do like to search S-mint ATB bags for MS67/68 candidates. I've done okay so far, but some optics should help. More tiny dings and stuff show up as I turn on and off the four lighting segments.

Sorry - I know this isn't a coin comment, but the earlier statement just begged for a bit of further exposition. The quoted statement is history. If it had continued on into discussion or interpretation, it would be removed. Yours was discussion, so removed. Read the rules. Thanks
You're reading too much into the earlier post. This was just poking Kurt for his prior comments on people who look for micro double dies and how things change unexpectedly (including the field of State politics/government - where Kurt makes his livelihood). Nothing more. Thought the emojis made that clear
I've started looking at coins at 1,000x magnification. The Minting Errors are billions upon billions on each coin !!
And I used to be a (party that I ain't) before working for the (party I now work for). Confused? Good.
I thought confusion was an attribute when dealing with government entities BTW: Where are the pics from your new toy?
Waiting for the camera adapter. The lower res Sony NEX/3N is in my hot little hand now, though. No optical viewfinder on it, but hey, once it's set up right, that's what the other two holes in the scope are for, right?
Have you ever looked at clouds through welding goggles (not goggles for arc welding they are too dark)? Without the extra light that causes your pupils to constrict and overwhelm you eyes you can see a tremendous amount of additional detail in them.
