Physically, I think I peaked at around 25, before the fat set in. Now, more than 25 years after that ... well ... it ain't pretty.

But mentally/spiritually/emotionally, I reckon I'm improving inside, while the exterior crumbles. ;)

I saw a slabbed MS66 or 67 BN Chain cent at an ANA show once, and got to hold it in my hot little hand. Same dealer (I think) let me hold a raw AU Pan-Pac octagonal $50 in a flip. Wow.

I love E.L.O. I played the cassette tape of that album until it practically melted.

Sure I'm going for this. I can always use another 1921 Morgan! And the ones I have aren't slabbed!

Fun fact: every time my grandfather, a navigator in the Air Force, went on a mission he would give a silver dollar to my mother and ask her to keep it safe for him until he got back.

I love seeing ancient die matches. Here is an obverse die-matched pair from my collection. It's a prutah of Herod Agrippa I, ca.37-44AD, Hendin_1244.

Awesome. I'd never have the patience or keen observation needed to recognize ancient die matches. I know how important they are to establishing chronologies.

Nor do I know much about Judaean coins, but that one has a nice look. I've always wondered what the "umbrella" looking object is on those?

You're right up @Deacon Ray's alley with this sort of thing.

I need to add at least one representative example from ancient Judaea to my Eclectic Box collection, but have yet to do so.

When you challenge a friend in a flip a coin game for one of his/her rare coin/s... and you go all in with this...

And this is what happens when the times get rough and yet we still manage to ride it out with who we got... then we see and notice that in the end of it all, we are all we’ve got... some what like this but not like this... cheers! hahahaha

    COIN PUN

A spokesperson for the U.S. Mint announced that a new fifty-cent piece was being issued to honor two great American patriots.
On one side of the coin would be Teddy Roosevelt and on the other side, Nathan Hale.

Asked why two people were going to be on the same coin, the spokesman replied, "Now, when you toss a coin you can simply call.... 'Ted's or Hale's'."

    Sorry for this one
