It's been quite a while since I have had any money to buy coins. I had a bad urge, needed a new coin or two, so I left the house with 50$. Low dollar coins aren't usually what I buy, but if you have done your research, cherry picking is the way to go. This is a FS801 (019) DDR http://doubleddie.com/1834404.html The pick up is the doubled beak.
I've yet to have any of my coins graded. When I decide it is in the top 5, It would be best if it was, as my collection will be passed down to the youngins.
But then how would the "knowledgable dealers" know it exists? It won't show up in pop reports, and if you don't carry it to every show on the show circuit, and it stays in your collection, won't it be in that "Bravo Sierra" fresh-to-the-market thingy if and when your heirs sell it? Because, because, because, "if it's not already slabbed, there has to be a reason", right? [Hint: this quote in THIS paragraph is THE Bravo Sierra line to beat ALL Bravo Sierra lines.]
Fresh to the market is one thing. That's how I got this one. But in the event that my children decide to sell them. I'd like them to know what they have. I rather like my coins raw. I'd imagine that as I get older and see more coins, some of them will get graded, I think that it is in the best interest of my kids to know what they have.
It really makes you wonder how many of the certain high dollar variety's and Top Pops exist in collections.
