Omg!! There are so many different types of doubling, and they all look like doubled die to me! Even after looking at examples of true doubled die, I dont see that much of a difference I thought I had done pretty good surface research on errors.... Apparently not! Lol
The word double can be used as an adjective or a noun. Meaning it can be used as a way to describe or name something. The word Doubled is a Verb meaning to make something double. The letters on a coin look double in size because they were made from dies that have been Doubled. Hence Doubled Die. A Die that has been made to look double.
It will come to you in time. The more coins you look at the quicker you will pick it up. Keep studying and you will be fine.
