@Willysilver . Once again, there is no way on God's green earth we can tell from your pics.

If you read post #88 on the link @Clawcoins posted above, Fred W. said it is due to a lint mark on the die. It IS NOT a "5".

It sounds like some people are trying to promote it as a rare error in order to make some money, but it probably isn't much different than the typical die chip or other die damage that shows up on coins. Just because somebody puts it on ebay at an exorbitant "Buy It Now" price doesn't mean it's worth anything

What makes you think it's a '66 SMS dime? Looks like a business strike to me.....

Willy. SMS stands for special mint set. You just can't throw those terms around. Your going to start loosing creds. Now ask yourself. Does your coin look anywhere near proof or mint. I can see what looks like a 5. It might as well be a butterfly. These things your seeing are just next to impossible. Please. We know it looks like a 5. But get a grip

Not only wants 90.00-400.00 for a common coin he found in seawater but wants some schmuck to pony up 3.50 for shipping that most take care of free or charge their cost, which may be less than 2.00. Pretty much someone to avoid on ebay.

Ignore button works wonders...... especially when you're dealing with his pipe dreams.

Look closely. It's not really the same coin...

But could be a fine example of why threads like this, coupled with the fact many refuse to read beyond the first post, can be damaging.
