Issues depositing half dollars

There are no coin counters (that are free even with an account) in my area. I have checked credit unions too with no luck.

Yep, if your are blessed with a CU with free coin machines you are in a better position than trying to deposit boxes of coins. Without that advantage there is no way I could search 18 boxes of halfs a week on average. And by the way, return has been much better than a fast food job so far. It's all about numbers, picking a single box here or there is no longer the method to finding silver. You are counting on the carrier picking a single box out of the stack at Loomis or Brinks that is holding a silver dump. Low odds.

 

While only Desertgem can clarify what was originally meant, I interpreted his post to mean 10 rolls as in $100 and not merely 10 half dollars.

 

That would make more sense and is probably the case.

 

Check with a local casino in your area if they take change.
A couple local banks around me will take loose halfs bagged in a $500 lot as a deposit.

 

A who in my WHAT? Wow, places be diff'rent.

 

We have local casinos here, but they have all gone to paper in paper out.
They don't use coins anymore.
Maybe on one of the table games (BJ?) there is still some half dollar payout,
when blackjack pays 1.5x the bet.
When they removed 7 card stud, over 10 years ago, I stopped going.
