    Help me out on some info; is it true the Kennedy half-dollars were stopped for circulation in 2002, but they still mint some every year?
    Thanks.

    That is correct. Us coin junkies are big business to the US mint.

    2nd paragraph ==> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Half_dollar_(United_States_coin)

    there used to be a paragraph similar to that on the usmint.gov website but I couldn't find it quickly.

    "They were produced in fairly large quantities until the year 2002, when the U.S. Mint ceased production of the coin for general circulation ... Presently, collector half dollars can be ordered directly from the U.S. Mint,[2] and pre-2002 circulation half dollars may be ordered through most U.S. banks."

    Yes, starting in 2002, the US mint stopped striking Sacagawea dollars and Kennedy half dollars for circulation, but continued to strike them for collectors. Similarly, beginning in 2007 the US mint began striking presidential dollars for circulation only up to 2011, but continued to strike them for collectors from 2012-2016. The same happened for Native American Sacagawea dollars, which were struck for circulation only from 2009-2011, but are have been struck for collectors from 2012-date.
