Picture 452.jpg Picture 453.jpg Picture 454.jpg On the first picture the top left corner seems to be a CUD. On the 1911 coin there is a piece of metal between the C and the A in AMERICA lower right. I looked with a magnifying class and it indeed seems to be an extra piece of metal wedged inbetween the letters and the rim. And on the 1892 there seems to be an extra piece of metal above the 2.

Can someone give an opinion as to the value?

Hi there, it's a bit hard to determine if your coins are cuds. Do you have a 10x loupe by chance? You can take really great photos by putting that in front of your camera on your phone. It would also help if you cropped out the background so the coin shows up larger. Also, please click the option to show the coins as full images instead of thumbnails. That will also help make the coin larger.

I enlarged the pictures. I pointed out where I think the cuds are and it seems to be they are a sufficient size even without magnification.

I see no cuds at all.

A cud must touch the rim so #3 is out. As for the other 2 coins, I'm not seeing cuds but I do see what you see. Coin #1 looks like wear and #2 looks like a piece of solder. It's much brighter than the nickel surrounding it.

Coin 1 is damaged. I don't see anything on the other coins that would indicated that the edge of the die broke

    no, no and no.
The third one is a die chip, a cud must include the rim.
    the other two are damage

How much is a die chip worth? I've looked at one listing on ebay for a die chip Barber Dime and the premium doesn't seem to be much, only $20 above book value.

I wouldn't pay much, if anything, over face/melt value for a die chip. If people do, it's most likely because they are morons.

On a Wheat Cent, about a buck and not much higher on anything else.
