I picked this up after I contacted an eBay seller to maybe end an auction early since no one had bid yet. Seeing that a 20% off-center went for about $1,300 (but at MS64) on Heritage a few months ago, I was expecting a steep price. Turns out I didn't even pay half that price. Even got it less than $600. Pretty sure I did pretty well here, and no distracting marks. Not too many off-center more than 10%. Enjoy!
Thanks, missed that. Jumped right to reading the description. I guess we assume it is a PCGS slab due to the lack of white tabs.
Several times on off center Ikes I found no one bids despite a nice starting price, only to be outbid with several people bidding the last 2 minutes. I just undercut the competition by contacting this guy who apparently didn't ever sell one of these before and may not have known how much this would have sold for.
Nice coin. It's my birth year as well. You are putting together quite a nice collection there. Well done!!!!
Thanks. Working on a book as well. Trying to have one of every kind that I collect (wrong planchet, off center, missing clad layer, broadstruck, struck on a blank, wrong metal)
