I think every coin collector should have a scale these days. It can be really helpful in detecting counterfeits. Also useful in weighing scrap silver and gold as well as seeing how much a well worn coin has lost
So what is the difference in value between a Small Date Copper and Small Date Zinc? I have not been able to find much difference so far but haven't researched it that much.
It is confusing as both types are common and inexpensive for business strikes in most years, mintmarks, date size. There are a few VERY specific combinations of these factors that are exceedingly rare and desired, they are mentioned in multiple threads here. Youtube and get rich books implies they are easy money, so most of the threads on this area are told sorry, no Ferrari for you, which they generally argue about unknowingly. I wouldn't use a minute of my remaining allotment in life to even search for them , the odds are so bad.
