Pointy-chin Gallienus and a skinny Mercury ...

    Unusually thick and heavy flan on this one from the Antioch mint. It's interesting because it's dated -- the PXV in the exergue is short for TR P XV. Post anything you feel is relevant.

    and a different example of a date-- VIIC in the exergue means that this coin was issue during the seventh and last consulate of Gallienus; which began in A.D. 266.

    Wow! That is a heavy one! Well-struck and on a big flan, too!

    Great examples of how the mint in Antioch dated the coins this way!

    Cool coin!. Man, Mercury has been working on those abs I can tell, but I think he needs to spend some time on those noodle arms and legs!
