1994D Missing Clad Layer?

Discussion in 'Error Coins' started by NotSoLittledrummerboy88, Jul 9, 2018.

  1. Here is a well circulated 1994D I found, but doesn't look to have enough PMD that would have striped all the clad off. Also no little silver color on the O/R or Sides of the coin. Would love to add this to my books of cool finds but don't want to fill it with nothing but PMD. Would love to see what you guys think and examples of Missing Clad from your collections! Happy hunting all!

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

The first thing for you to learn is that nickels are not clad.
    They never have been clad.
    Your coin is environmentally damaged.
    Probably spent some time underground.

  4. I also wanted to put this, Coin on the left is one in question. Coin on the right is a well WELL worn 1973P.
