The following listing is for a '100% Original and Authentic' $5 gold piece, but on the back of it, it clearly is labeled 'COPY': https://www.ebay.com/itm/Gold-Liber...884317?hash=item214265bc1d:g:B9kAAOSwtoVbNYT-
It ended up selling for $201. Someone is going to be disappointed when they realize they've been duped.
From their description. Air quotes and parentheses added by me. Returns are accepted within 14 days of purchase. In the “unlikely” event of a return, PLEASE contact us before opening a case (so they fear legal retaliation). We will gladly work with you to resolve the issue. If an identifying mark, inclusion, or defect are visible in the images, it is considered DISCLOSED to the buyer. You are responsible for viewing and enlarging all of the images. The images often disclose the condition of the item better than verbiage (read: you have been had). Our “highly trained and experienced” staff of researchers prides themselves on their accurate, well-researched descriptions, as well as pictures taking from multiple angles (this coin was taken from one angle, just separately cropped images). All listings are described to the best of our knowledge (read:your incompetence). Please be sure to read all of the description and carefully look over photos (the only helpful advice they offer). Actual Images of item are shown above; NO alterations are performed to images! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us before bidding.
Not seeing 'copy' but I would indeed shy away if for no other reason that 'things don't look right to me'
The auction itself ended, so eBay redirected you to similar listings. click on where it says “listing” at the top to take you to the original coin.
Like Miles already pointed out.... "If an identifying mark, inclusion, or defect are visible in the images, it is considered DISCLOSED to the buyer. You are responsible for viewing and enlarging all of the images. The images often disclose the condition of the item better than verbiage." My guess is this is their way of hoping to avoid responsibility. One would think the clown class would have figured it out by now...
