1966 (D)...? LMC

    Looks like a 1968D before it was destroyed.

    Yup. I can't comment on this coin without SOMEBODY considering it a personal insult, so don't tempt me. I just can't not insult.

    Hi Ava, the coin you have in the photo is a really, really beat up coin that is not special in any way. It looks like you have minimal numismatic knowledge so first welcome and second we hope you get hooked and learn a lot! Please read and learn as much as you can. Minting process, what to look for in error coins, grading and so much more. With this knowledge you will be able to spot right away what is possible as a mint error and what is not. There is no way possible that this would be a mint error. I would first start out by reading about the minting process and go from there.

    We really need to implement a photo quiz for new members before they can post.

    Show five pictures of coins and they have to select whether or not the coin is damaged or is an error.

    All pics would be obvious so as not to trick anyone.

    As long as you can pass the test, you get to post.
