My son's birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks and I always try to find him some type of Silver coin. This year I tried to find something different. I think this will fit that criteria. The coin? is 5 ounces of Silver, but the same 41MM diameter of an ASE. Only it's 11.8mm in thick! I don't think there is a capsule made that will fit it, but I don't think a small amount of handling is going to make any difference. It has an antique finish which has a slightly hammered appearance. Minted by the Scotsdale Mint in the U.S. for the country of Chad. Scotsdale mints a lot of different Bullion coins for African nations. Face amount is 3,000 Francs which is less than the 5,000 Francs on Chad's 1 ounce bullion coins. Mintage is 30,000. The 2016 King Tut is the first coin in the series. BTW, I also ordered him some socks. Chad 2016 3,000 Francs King Tut 5 Ounce Silver Mintage 30,000 Edge view
