This appears to have finish worn off but only in low areas . I thought it was painted but it dose not come off. Any idea what happened ?
I looked it up and saw the no mint mark proof one and nearly fainted . I believe this one is just a normal no mark 68. any idea on color n worth ?

    Value is easy... 10 cents.
Many things can cause that kind of discoloration, but it does not add value.
Your dime is just a normal 1968 Philadelphia dime, not a proof.
Keep searching and you will find something good!

Thank you ...as I suspected .... Maybe the low areas have thinner metal n dissolved or got corrosive dirt caked on it .

You are right. Could be almost anything. The dime has been through a lot in 50 years.
