Saw this on Craigslist,,, And was thinking that it was not a REAL good idea to make your own silver bars.
He says they're sterling and 90%? Sterling is 92.5% pure, right? Sounds like his bars are of mixed, unknown silver content.
So he wants $250 for a claim of about $188 in silver. Yet with only $28.28 of that being in easily verifiable and liquid form. Lol good luck with that, lord knows why someone would melt 10 oz of random fineness silver coins and try to make their own crude bars.
from .999 Sterling ... so nearly pure Sterling which in itself isn't pure. LOL He probably bought ppl's old sterling silverware and other house wares.
If I was interested I'd want to test the bars and if they tested out as silver I'd be willing to go around $4 to $5 an oz because they would be a bear to re-sell.
