Past detecting finds...

    ..I love showing off some of my past finds from detecting. This first one is a cool campaign watch fob that I found at an old farm house site.

    This is my only confederate find. A North Carolina civil war button. Didn't even know what it was when I first found it. Thought it was some sort of "on" knob to something.

    This was a nice Barber half that I found at a church lot last year.

    You guys like seeing these finds or would you prefer I lay off on the old finds and non coin stuff. Let me know, thanks, Jim

    Im no mod, but my opinion is keep em coming, I think there are quite a few of us with detectors, and you are posting items of numismatic interest, I enjoy and drool at some of your finds !!:yawn:

    Jim, I eagerly look forward to your posts, keep 'em coming. It gives me encouragement that I might find something worth keeping some day!

    I love seeing these finds and as long as you mix a few coins in I don't see why anyone would complain. I know I wouldn't - I love those finds and when I see your posts it makes me want to go out and buy a detector. The only issue is my wife would have a fit every time I told her I was going out with it. Till our kids get a little older, there is enough to do at home! So for now I will have to admire the finds you and others make - Happy Hunting and Happy New Year!
