a total of 2 cents ? What do you see that makes you think they are worth more than face value ? 1958 & 1967 are 60 and 51 years old. That's a lot of wear and tear and damage over the years.
Was just wondering cause i see alot of mis die penny and worth alot of money. Looking at these coins i cant seem to see what could have caused this. The cuts are clean and if it was done by sand or pebble wouldn't it be all over. Im not and expert but if you look closely its very clean. Thought it was unique. Thanks for any input.
You learn as you go and don't know till you ask. These poor cents were subjected to parking lot traffic at some point during their lifetime.
How is that clean? The reality is that you see a lot of damaged cents and coins not the other way around. Coins do not leave the mint looking like this. Those coins are severely damaged, and not rare at all. As Beefer put it, stay away from boob tube, the un informed will lead you astray, those coins are garbage.
I will vote "let me know." So here goes. Wheat cents are always fun to find in circulation, but both these coins have road rash.... in other words, they spent time in a parking lot getting run over. What you have is a damaged wheat cent worth 3 cents, and a damaged memorial cent worth 1 cent.
I just see wear and tear .. for instance. 58 - Obverse - just normal wear and tear Reverse - looks like it got gouged a few times from something hitting it hard. 67 - Reverse - severe parking lot scraps - for instance a concrete parking lot with dirt/junk on it then it was run over, slipped on, etc. The obverse got less parking lot wear and tear. Take a nice new penny to a dirty parking lot. Put it down and start pushing it around with your foot and see what happens. I'm sure you've probably picked up coinage from parking lots. I do all the time. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/post-your-pmd-post-mint-damage-coin.318993/page-2#post-3123491
These are suffering from horrendous damage. If what has happened to them had happened to you, you'd be dead.
