I used to collect these. The history behind them is really fun. This one goes back over 400 years. Please post what you have.

With these Expo's they would almost build a small town for the event. Millions of folks came to visit. The Jamestown expo lost several millions of dollars.

In 2000 the World Expo was in Hannover, Lower Saxony, Germany. The federal government issued this 10 DM coin (image: muenzen.eu) ...

The design I find quite disappointing - you see a person ("Mensch") in the middle who keeps a balance of nature ("Natur") and technology ("Technik"). The actual reason for this issue - "Weltausstellung Expo 2000 Hannover" - can only be found on the edge. Then again, the expo itself was disappointing too, also as far as the number of visitors is concerned. ;)

Don't know if this qualifies. It is from the 1902 Hudson-Fulton celebration. It is 102mm in diameter and one of my favorite medals.

    + another 1.
Drove from Georgia. 6 weeks roundtrip - saw a lot, stayed in campsites, met many friendly people.

    Hi Idhair,
Here is another Jamestown ter centennial 1907 coin/medal. Although it does not say Expo, It must have been made in conjunction with your medal.
