Picked this up today. I swear that I spend my entire paycheck in this place. 0EC7AEF1-8867-46BF-A5E4-25993167E1AC.jpeg D5F77847-73D9-438D-A374-3062A47BE930.jpeg

If you spent your entire paycheck on that note, you need to seek a career change...

I love the older "funny back" currency. Hope you got a good deal on it. There are a lot of them on eBay.

I paid $15. And no, that’s not my whole check, but I only work 11 hours every two weeks

I have one of those (OP) a little better condition.
I believe this is the funny back:

That is typically referred to as the funny back, which is a small-sized 1928 $1 bill

The Series 1934 $1 Silver Certificates are also Funny Backs.

Woods and White are a good signature combination

I thought it was Woods and Tate that was the good one?

Woods-Tate is *the* good one, but Woods-White is a little better than the very common Speelman-White. Something over 90% of the 1923 $1's are Speelman-White, so anything other than that is an improvement.

OK mine is the large note 1923 red ink US Note
Speelman White, not the silver certificate.

US Note much more valuable than the Silver Cert, all things being equal.

I always like this type of bill. I like this 1923 large size plus the design of large blue seal on the left.

I have one to share too that I won a couple years ago:

Nah... I knew it wasn’t particularly valuable, but it sure was interesting to me and for that reason alone, it was worth $15 to me.
