Headed to St. Petersburg FL with the family and would like to hit a LCS or two with the boy while we are down there. Any recommendations? I know I could just Google it, but I appreciate the community input here.
Hope these help. Let me know if you need any more listings. David Reynolds is my goto shop. They actually have a knowledgeable staff, and a very good variety. Zach is the primary coin specialist, with Josh and another guy (can't remember his name) as the others that are the numismatists. Zach is a young guy (to me at least) that knows his stuff, and can grade very well, and he is my 'guy' at the shop. Be prepared to wait a minute or so, as they are a very busy shop (both for the jewelry and coins), but that just gives you a chance to peruse their wares. Location is easy to get to from either downtown or the beaches. McNeal's is really about Moderns, and not a place I'd recommend highly for the coin section. Lots of mint sets in the display cases, with prices in the 'display case' range (ie; more then I'd pay). It's also a bit out of the way if you're staying on the beaches or in downtown. St Pete Coins is no longer. I never got there when they were in business, but when I did try to go last summer it was an empty storefront. Are you going to be here for Summer FUN in Orlando? It's only 2 weeks away, and I'm getting antsy....
