I'm real sorry for the delay, company left and we had to undecorate today, so I've been too busy to get on for enough time to post the answer. First I have a few things to say. I changed this part around a little bit. If I went along with how I was originally going to do it, then De Orc would have been the only one to get points. As there are no pennies in that jar. But that would be slightly unfair for some members, as I did not hide the secret thread giving hte clue till Christmas eve. And I just didn't think that was a real good idea, so I am going to award points to those who came closest to the number of cents in the jar. Points will be awarded to those in this manner:

Came withing 10 cents of the real answer, 30 points.
Came within 20 cents of the real answer, 20 points
Came withing 50 cents of the real answer, 10 points.

Again, I am real sorry about the delay and confusion. The number of the cents in the jar is:

I am going to go back through the answers and see who gets awarded points! Hope all had fun, more stages to come, till those lucky five break 100 points.

Man, only one person came within close to the answer! Lol, this must have been a tough jar. The one to get within 50 of it is:

GD! He came withing 21 with his guess of 834, missing 20 points by only one cent! Lol, but that still gives him enough to qualify into the the top five. He is the first person to make it. He doesn't have to enter the other rounds for everyone else to gain some points for the top five, but he can if he wants for fun. Congrats GD! :thumb: Hope everyone had fun, and the next stage is coming soon.

My old old hidden thread, I edited it, and all, to see if anyone would go back to it, but it was so late putting it up, I felt bad and everything, also I didn't give the best clue that would really help. That's why I changed it around a little, just my personal feeling it wouldn't have been to fair. Even though it was only you that got close to it, lol.

what do you meankinda like spock. spock can grade coins and doesnt need luck ont he other hand we have GD climbing the luck bandwagon on the way to the top. Well if i make it there in the top 5 i am going to come for you. Phoenix whats for round 4. i though you said someone got the numbers right down to the penny. what happened did the numbers change or was GD allowed to and add pennies to the jars man i am beginning to think that the umpire may not be impartial: Only one good suggestion so far from the ump he asked GD to take a break

 

Lol. Round four is in the work shop at the moment. In other words, haven't thought of it yet. I thought the top 5 would have broken 100 points by now to be honest. Actually, the reason about that. GD was talking to me,because he was SO afraid of you beating him, he actually counted the cents and sent me the jar, that way he could guess close to it to get him enough points for the first slot.

Lol, just joking. I explained in one of my posts above, that I changed things around. I was originally going to do it where in my OP, for everyone to guess the number of pennies in the jar. Since there are technically no pennies in the jar, De Orc would have had it right on. But, I wasn't able to hide the hidden thread in time really, and give the proper clues, I just went back and counted the cents in the jar and see who came closest. Lol.

Round 4 should be coming within the next two weeks or so, just let some of the other contests end first and all. Hope y'all are having fun. (GD sits in the background, sipping his ice tea, thankful he doesn't have to do anymore work for a little while)
