Ok.. It works like this... Croatia won today so they play Denmark next So I'd like to see Croatia beat Denmark... So I pick this coin to show who I'd like to win. CROATIA VS. DENMARK BIG Match today! lots of cool coins on both sides and your choice can be based on the design if you dont care who wins. I'll post my choice before the game. But there is no secret Mexico has a great looking tean this time around and Id like to see 'em win. So I'll find the one coin I like best. The goal is just to have fun... And to get to see some great coins. Back in the first round of the 1994 World Cup, I got to hang out with lthe German team, at a hotel they stayed at during the games in Chicago. They really knew to party. (my friends, and one of them was of particular interest to them, and she and I just accidentally ran into them as they got off the bus from Soldier Field.)
Looks like Sweden is going to win against Mexico...........3-0 Sweden with about 2 min to go. But my favored team is still Mexico....so:
SOUTH KOREA won against GERMANY! WOW 1ST TIME GERMANY DIDN'T MAKE IT OUT OF THE GROUP STAGE. Kudos to South Korea... Amazing. Unfortunately I don't have a South Korean coin. So I leave it to someone else.
Serbia vs. Brazil is next and Brazil is who I want to win, So I'll have to post this one from Serbia,
No favorite as far as winners, but I do have a few World Cup related coins. In 1978 Argentina became one of the few countries to host and win a World Cup Championship. Not without a lot of controversy however. Story Here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...incredible-story-Argentina-swept-victory.html The 1978 Mint set also contains some of the very few modern Silver coins from Argentina. The 1985 Mint set from Mexico has coins with the denomination in Braille. Finally a 1985 100 Peso from Mexico.
