Aside from the somewhat suggestive name, do you see that little symbol in the OP's avatar space? That means "female", sir.

And as for the rest, please stop assuming or at least wording your assumptions as if indisputable fact. Again, "dealer" is in no way synonymous with "expert" or even "knowledgeable", and is particularly true when it comes to something like this and/or varieties or errors in general. Some most certainly are, but simply because someone stands on the other side of a counter or table, or because they claim to be a "dealer" it in absolutely no way suggests they're "more than likely" anything but a person hawking coins. The entire reason for my apparently offending post was simply to point out this reality, sir. If you can both figure out and understand that not everyone here is an expert, you should also be able to understand that the same goes for those claiming to be a "dealer", real or play.

If she wants to take it to a such a person, that's great, but if we're going to give advice, any caveats should rightly be noted. This, sir, is perfectly reasonable.

    Looking for immediate affirmation.
Not looking for negativity; otherwise it would just be a regular coin which it can’t possibly be because it looks different to the uneducated eye.

Many of us here have been active in numismatics for a very long time. Time does not always mean knowledge and experience, but you can find people on the forum which you can depend on to give only knowledge and answers they are confident in giving ( whether it makes the person asking happy or not), they can depend on it as being accurately as possible without holding it in their hand. I always smile when a coin dealer is consider a de facto expert, usually they are the ones who ask here or ( in my case, phone me), as they are now mainly just into scrap and bullion.

That looks like the kind of coins I find at the car wash. Apparently it's missing a reverse as well. Spend it quickly.

Good point, but have you referred to a woman as ma'am lately? It doesn't go over as well as it used to...

If only everyone would wear their preference on their sleeve it would make navigating modern life much easier. ;)

I actually participate in martial arts, the Dojo enforces a strict Yes Sir/Ma'am honorific when addressing the Sensai. Due to this training, it periodically slips out when I am addressing people in public. I can confirm that Sir goes over much better then Ma'am does :)

I think I'll change my mantra......
It doesn't matter what you say.
    He will find it offensive.
If he doesn't, someone else will.
    You are here to learn.
The Ego is not he he really is.
It is his self image, his social mask.
It is the role he is playing. He thrives on approval.
He wants control and is sustained by perceived power.
    Because he lives in fear.
    Breathe in...breathe out.
    He'll go away eventually.
(female version, just place an s before every instance of "he". Not sure of your gender? Change, "he" to "he/she". Everyone covered?)

To kellymm and Monster; Here's the thing, everyone that has replied to you in this thread has been on this board posting and interacting with one another for years. We have not only dedicated significant portions of our lives to learning the minutia of the minting process and coins in general, but we have further decided that we want to spend a significant amount of time and energy sharing our knowledge with like minded individuals and new collectors. Not only do I trust the insight of people like booksb4coins, desertgem, paddy, and the other regulars that responded to you, I have had years of positive interactions and trust their intentions, instincts, and general coin chops.

However, when you post, all you see are a bunch of random people you don't know and have no reason to trust, give you an answer you don't want. Now, I understand some of us don't write in the warmest manner, but consider for a moment how it may come across when you step into a tight knit community of dedicated hobbyists and dealers, ask them a question, have them all spend time responding to you, and then turn around and publicly doubt them. No offense here, but when that's combined with the type of coin you are asking about, which to a non-beginner (nothing wrong with being a beginner, we all were too) is obviously not a mint error, it really does make us all kind of wonder why we bothered in the first place. Kind of like if you were an art critic but refused to highly praise a child's finger painting, what would you think of the parents who were still going to 'ask a professional'?

Your response to books is what i was talking about. I'll be direct, the way he comes across can be off putting, but his advice is solid. Stick around and you will realize this, we all have.

When did I ever say you were a "he"? It seems at this point you are just trying to be mad for the sake of being mad.

    My initial post said:
What was the point of asking on this website if the response was going to be ignored from the start?

Does it ever imply what your gender is? Or are you just assuming that I thought you were male? Why am I being targeted for this?

And, even if I did use "he" to refer to you, would it really matter that much? Feel free to call me "she" if you like, because in my opinion life is to short to worry about pronouns.

I think Monster ( a she) first referenced Kelly as a "he".
Either way, this is the internet .. we don't really know and just answer generically many times.
