I am curious - as a collector/investor/dealer what coin print publications do you regularly or occasionally read? Or are you reading more online? Or a combination of both? Coin World? Numismatic News? The Numismatist? Coins Magazine? COINage? The Greysheet? Which ones am I missing?
Numismatic News is the only one I currently subscribe to. I occasionally obtain a copy of most of the others you mentioned. I used to enjoy Coins Magazine and still will pick up a copy off the newsstand for some easy reading. But it seems more geared to beginning collectors. And yes, I read a good bit online, here and elsewhere.
Some online of course. Also: The Numismatist (life member) Numismatic News Coin World The Greysheet Like Longshot I also occasionally grab one of the others from a newsstand.
I just found "Coin Week" online. I'm a little slow in my old age. Seems it will be a good source of info.
Thanks for your replies and I welcome more to respond. Is "online" replacing "in print" in your opinion? I'm in my 60's and read both. And I still like both.
Very much so for me anyway. I learned of your company on line and became a routine buyer....... However it does seem odd to me that I rebel so against 21st century technology however I glean most all my information from it these days.
I like a mix of both. I subscribe to Coin World and get The Numismatist from ANA membership. many times these publications help me learn about an aspect of numismatics I didn't know about. But when I need reference information online is my primary source now.
The Numismatist. Gave up on Coin World. Too few articles and too many ads from dealers I wouldn’t deal with.
I am too paranoid, to subscribe to a magazine. I do ocassionally grab a few freebies up at the coin shows. So im in the online group i suppose
Pretty much all listed and I am reading The Art and Science of Grading Coins, By Jason Poe for the Second time!
