Two of my recent purchases were delivered today, and it makes me excited to be able to hold in my hand the coins that I've only seen photos of.

I have to run out to meet my father for dinner, but I couldn't not share my new coins with you all. Here's a group shot of them, and I'm planning on taking better photos and posting when I get back home later this evening.

Since I'm heading out to dinner, how about sharing coins with food on them?

Those are great, Justin! The ones with the verde patina are beautiful. Yes, I agree it's a feeling like none other to receive our carefully selected ancients in the mail. We breath a sigh of relief when they arrive safely.

The green patina on that Hadrian needs to be examined and monitored. Best send it to me and I’ll look after it for a few decades. :)

Hi all, I was just reached out to by a member of an ancient coin group on the Facebook I'm a member of about this coin (as I posted it there too). He was questioning the authenticity of this coin. What are any of your thoughts?

    I don't think so.

After some getting some other eyes on it on that FB group, the consensus is that it is genuine and that the edges are just beveled from flan prep evidenced by the centering dimple on the reverse, because of such thick patina, it is chipping way based on that beveling.
