    I paid a little more for it because it actually had a clear date on it. It will be a nice addition for my plating error and detached outer layer collection, and for my book. It's something that few people will ever see and the uniqueness of it is really special I think.

    So.. I mentioned earlier that the PCGS label does not mention it is a Mint Error. I wonder what category @Fred Weinberg would put it in?

    Just my imagination running wild.. But this copper item could of been Mint Employee assisted.. Some bored person found a piece of thin copper and somehow had it struck to achieve what we are seeing.. Oh well

    Besides error and variety, what other categories are there? Wasn't the coin Struck on a nail labeled as an error?
