It can be kind of hard to tell until you have seen enough coins that have altered surfaces, the reason I said what I did is because the coin you posted has kind of a hazy milky look, that is indicative of friction or overdipping that has disrupted the luster. If I get a chance tommorrow, I'll try to locate some coins that have been lightly wiped and overdipped and take some pictures so you and others can compare.
The pics are better, while I can't see any hairlines - it's been rubbed on or by something. That's what caused all the frost breaks. And it does look like it has dip residue on it.
So, sending this coin to NGC or PCGS would result in a bodybag, I presume? Zaneman and/or GDJMSP, could you please take a look at this other post of mine and give you opinion on the surfaces of my other CC Morgans? I want to send them to NGC but I don't want to waste my money if they will return bodybagged. Thanks for your opinion! http://www.cointalk.org/showthread.php?t=31492
I personally would submit this one also. I think I see what they are talking about, but sometimes the difference is so subtle it is really hard to tell. I am not the expert some of the others are and even if it comes back cleaned you still have a nice coin. Then you can use it for comparison against your graded coins - that might help the learning process. Just my opinion.
