Phraateces or Phraates V i.e incestuous parthian king

    This guy was so controversial after her mother queen musa killed his father he married his mother and this caused their death in a revolt... I have his tetra PhraatesV_1.jpg

    Nice coin, very fine quality, and almost from the Year Zero! I believe in your case, the year (under the archer's bow) is AIT = 311 (see here) = 2/1 BC. Very interesting in these coins is that the month was put in the exergue. Often hard to see, it's the lowest word on the reverse. I can see NAYO, possibly part of ΑΥΔΥΝΑΙΟΥ, December.

    @Pellinore Great job finding the date and month I knew where the year was but had no clue about the month! Wow So this was mint around the birth of jesus :) Yea this is one of my best parthians I love the tone and nice sharp portrait its really XF I would say

    O: Diademed bust left, wearing tiara; B behind / Greek legend, Vologases seated left on throne, Tyche standing right before him, presenting a diadem and holding sceptre; year (Seleucid 464, 152 AD), month below (November),Seleucia on the Tigris mint, 26 mm, 13.6 g. Sellwood 84.12-5; Shore 427.

    @chrsmat71 I like your Vologases IV it's very nice and I like the patina and hoard encrustations. Do you have more parthian tetra? please post them

    Arashpour, the last coin you posted (Vologases I tet) is dated 63/64 AD. No month is visible.
