The question is-
Is it REALLY deserving of the grade?
Im not a very good Lincoln grader, but i think it looks like a 66 tops. Although it does have a booming luster. So idk ???

Partial credit to @SilverDollar2017 ? Although 63 was his official guess in post #14 where he mentioned 67 RD.

 

I'll change mine to 67 Red. I didn't look close enough last time.

 

I have a feeling, that i tricked everyone into some ridiculous guesses. With the wager i placed, some might have overanalyzed.
Otherwise im guessing there wouldve been mostly- 63_ 64_65_66 guesses.

Oh well, i bought the label not the coin.
This is my 1st NON steel ms67 Lincoln.
I bought for hopefully a quick flip

 

I paid $58 for it. NGC guide is $225.
Only 5 graded higher. PM me to discuss what you wanna pay, er, what i should ask for it.

These are graded first and foremost on luster. A few too many ticks for a 67 IMO. But it probably sings in hand.

Anyway, what I was trying to do in my last post was to "pull an Ed Wood." It seemed like it always worked for him, so I figgered, 'what the hay?'

And why exactly is it that this coin is 67? I see, rub(?) on the cheek and jaw. Isn't that what the old-timers used to call "wear" (i.e. NOT mint state)?

 

I think 67 was generous as well. 66 at best, mainly because I thought there were a few too many nicks on it.

Yea, its not as mark free as one would expect.
There arentv that many hits on the obverse except for the rub but there are quite a few hits on the reverse so I'm not sure what they were thinking on this one.
