Can anyone tell me if this looks like a 1985 Denver Dime struck on Copper? Or is it environmental damage? Any help would be appreciated!

They didn't have copper planchets in 1985.
And the cent planchet would be too large to fit in the dime hub.

Solid copper core on this, but agreee this is damaged, likely buried for a while. Not missing its clad layers. Should weigh about 2.3 grams.

Do people not understand that there aren't any copper cent planchets after 1982, and that it's too large to fit in the dime hub/ coining press?
The inner core of a dime is copper, but if it were missing BOTH clad layers, it would be very thin and very light weight.
If it looks like a normal dime, it is. Despite the color.

It doesn't matter if you want to learn or not, this is a prime example of an environmentally damaged coin.
