Today is Father's Day in the U.S. and I want to wish all the father's out there a very happy day. My two son's know me pretty well. One got me a gift card to buy books on Amazon seeing as how I've read over 150 books in the past year or so. The other son sent me books knowing how I have an interest in the Roman legions: 1. The Complete Roman Army by Adrian Goldsworthy 2. Legions of Rome, the Definitive History, by Stephen Dando Collins 3. Legionary; The Roman Soldiers Manual, by Philip Matyzak And just to make this about coins, I'll go against my normal judgement and post my latest purchase from Agora even though it has not arrived as of yet: Legio XIIII

Glad you're having such a happy dads day @Bing ! 150 books!?! That's prolific. Speaking of, here are 2 "Great" dads... (Get it?)
In honor of Father's Day, I'll repost this coin, a denarius of Vespasian featuring his sons Titus and Domitian:

I'm a day late but if you don't mind, I'd still like to post something related to Father's Day. My Dad died in the early nineties and he never got to see me clean and sober. However, I think he sees what I've become, because he helped build the church where I serve, and I can feel his presence there. Anyway—as I look back—a lot of his wisdom reminds me of the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius. Edited: 12:09 PM 6/18—typo corrections
Beautiful Leo, @Severus Alexander ! It looks to me as though everything is there. The faces are great.
