Is this a 1994 restrike of a 1992 AM? Need help

In a limited manner. I responded to too many people who posted garbage (kind of like this thread...) and didn't want to learn. If I think they are actually wanting to learn something I will reply and help out. Otherwise, they may get no response (best case scenario) or just get snarky memes . ESPECIALLY if they are a repeat offender.

 

The 4 is affected by the corrosion on the coin in that area. The members were not trying to be other than helpful. Remember they are giving up time to try and explain. This is where reading about the minting process comes in tremendously. The planchets are not fed into the press aligned with each other, they are random and then they are pressed with the design and spat out at a tremendous rate to make billions. So if a bag of 1992 cents would not just have the design over the exact date area, they would be all over the place and they would have been removed and destroyed. So could a worker just slip a single 1992 in and press a 1994 date over it?? Not with those machines. Could an engraving professional do it? possibly with skill and time, but they would be putting "s" on 1909 VDB or "D" on 1914 no mm with their skills. There the immediate possibility of a sale and income is assured. So the odds of such and convincing someone ( such as TPG) that it is such is a losing possibility. A lot of "seeing " things on coins, pancakes, toast, etc. occurs, but it is the process of a mind not quite anchored in possibility theory . Jim

Seems like your problem is personal. Maybe you should start looking at coins for what they are. You definitely don't have a clue about errors, or how they happen.

 

Beginners like you have been given many resources to do your own learning. You choose not to.
Also, you attract a lot more flies with honey. Calling names isn't exactly helpful to your cause.

Unfortunately, unlike today's world with immediate gratification and attention deficit disorder, coin collecting is a life time learning experience. 30 40 50 years. More.
You can't get all the answers in a couple days. If it interests you, go to the library, read some books, etc. If it's not fun for you, that's just the way the egg rolls.
There are actually some real and cool videos on YT about the minting process and other things.
