I've been collecting love tokens on and off for about 12 years. Sadly I have sold a lot of them but started collecting them again about three years ago and decided today to take photos of most of them. So I figured I would post some of those photos. Sorry my photography skills are of mediocre quality. I like these two because you don't see matching love tokens to often that weren't cufflinks. I like this one because it is on a Barber half, still has the pin, and has a death date.
I much enjoy these pieces of Americana too. I found a smoothed large cent in my dealers junk box not long ago. I always figured it was an unfinished love token. So I finished the piece with my own sentiment.
This is the only love token I have seen where only a portion of the coin design was removed. You always have to show love for Mama
This is probably my favorite love token. It amazes me the time involved, skill, and imagination it took to make some of these.
This is the only love token jewelry I own. I have never owned old cut outs before, all of the links holding it together are silver plus they are soldered shut which is nice. I have more but will post them later.
