Im sad. I wish i had at least one coin to show. I do have a 1995 doubled die cent. If i could do pictures I'd post it every day. I asked if i could sell a kidney. My Doc's answer was. Why pay when i can wait a tad and get them both. Wonderful coins all of you members. Your pic sharing is my coin life line. Thanks
The U.S. One Cent is of 1857. It may be of interest that that was the year of the alleged Indian Mutiny. Major resistance to the then British Empire.
I only have a handful of Morgans, including this one I just got at the LCS. I liked this raw dollar at $45, so it became my only coin of any kind from New Orleans.
I have a thing for 1840's seated coinage and saw this fairly low mintage half dime so had to have it. 1849-o
I saw this coin go up for auction. It also had a BIN price which was a good deal in of itself. I didn't even wait for it to auction. The coin has a grainy look. It was hard to find one without places in the devices where you can see metal flow. This one was definitely softly struck. There is still a lot of planchet marks.
Pardon me if I have double posted this. I have been lurking on this site for several years and enjoying the information you provide. This post is to hopefully get some information about the authenticity and condition of the attached coin. I know it is a colonial made about 1820, I don’t know if it is a counterfeit. I am guessing it is not because it is not that valuable. In addition to the wear, it looks like it was a sloppy strike. Are there any other pieces of information about it out there?
